Upon his return, complete with tartan scarf, he realized STUK was becoming much
more than a one man job, he needed staff, a truck, and he even doubled his rig
size to 12k, and it wasn't too long before the dream of 20K of JBL system
became a reality at STUK HQ.
Fast-forward to today and Stu is rarely seen behind
the desk of a gig. Having trained his staff up to be the best in the
region and provided them with the best equipment he is more likely
to be seen filming and mixing DVDs. His accomplished team offer several
professional systems that are a lifetime away from the 1K system
when CDs were still a secret and a DVD sounded more like an infection
than a recording device!
The staff taken on in the early days have allowed
STUK to develop a winning team when it comes to event and production
management, and as the company has grown their relationships with their
clients have grown with them in unison, such as Folkworks who
now call the stunning Sage Gateshead their new home.
We celebrated 25 years in the business this year,
so we must have got one or two things right along the way. Some things
stay the same other change out of all recognition, but the friendly
faces of the STUK Sound crew are one of the things that stay the same.
